The Brights Collection

A new collection just in the nick of time for Christmas! I haven't had much time to design in these past few months but I really wanted some fun new items to showcase at the 2015 Last Minute Market  on Dec. 20th so here is a sneak peek.  New magnetic calendars, recipe cards, notepads and notecards in mix and match designs.  And all under $15 - perfect for stocking stuffers!  If you can't make it out to the Market, the calendars are now available as Instant Download Printable files in my Etsy shop for $5.  The entire collection will be available soon on my website and in the Etsy shop.  Hope to see you at the Market!

Say hello to Benjamin

Benjamin James surprised us a week early, arriving on August 3rd around 8 am  - and we couldn't have been more excited to meet him!  A healthy (and hungry) baby, we have been learning all about the little guy over the last four weeks and think we might have finally cracked the code {enter veteran parent snickers here - as the code is probably never really cracked, right?}.  I have covered some serious ground in the emotions department over the last month running the gamut from excitement to fear to exhaustion to frustration to sheer amazement and love for this tiny human we made.  I've cried for no reason at all, woke up with breast pads stuck to my leg and been peed on more times than I can count but I can honestly say I would do it all over again for those big toothless grins he gives me - even if it is just gas.

So, because I am feeling a little more confident about motherhood - and, frankly, anxious to feel like a productive, normal person again - I will be opening the shop back up within the next week.  Responses and turn around times may be a little slower than normal as I ease back in but I will do my best to communicate timelines with you to make sure you get your orders in time.  Thanks for your patience with me!

Three New Ventures and a Baby

2014 is proving to be a very exciting year for Two Pooch Paperie - with three new creative ventures in the works and one much anticipated baby on the way!  I'm going to keep you in suspense for two of the ventures but I wanted to share one of the exciting projects I've been working on for the past couple of months, now that it is about to make its debut. 

Lucky Day Studios, a print and pattern design studio offering licensed art for companies such as Target and American Greetings, offered me the opportunity to join them in making my art available for sale through their studio.  The collections I've created will be shown at Surtex in May.  Surtex is a marketplace for licensing and selling art and design  for everything from home furnishings and apparel textiles to giftware, stationery and toys. Held annually in New York, this event brings more than 6,000 art buyers/licensees from all across the country. This is a HUGE deal for me and I am so very thankful to Julia and Donna, the founders of Lucky Day and two pretty awesome women, for giving me this opportunity. The show takes place May 18 thru the 20th - so fingers crossed for a successful showing!

In other HUGE news, we're having a baby! This is great for Two Pooch Paperie because with all these new projects, I could really use a hand around here. Seriously though, we are beyond thrilled for our first baby! Our little one is due early August so the shop will be closed for at least a few weeks around that time. As I get closer to my due date, I will be sure to keep you posted on shop details and when you can expect Two Pooch to be back open. If you are planning any events for August thru early October, I recommend getting your orders in early!
